Robert “Bob” Duane Skoog, 77, of Walcott, ND, passed away on February 21, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

He was born on December 24, 1943, to Carl and Esther (Engnes) Skoog. He grew up on farms near Colfax and Christine, ND, attending Christine and Eagle Public Schools.

Robert Skoog and Kay Rudlang were married on December 4, 1971, at Emmanuel Church in Abercrombie, ND. They lived on their farm near Christine with their children, Renee, Lisa, and Ryan. Renee died in 1985. His family, especially his grandchildren, were so precious to him.

Bob started farming at a very young age, recently retiring but still helping his son with the farm work. He was proud to serve on the following boards: Richland Rural Water Users, Richland 44 School District, Christine Cemetery, Eagle Township, and the Christine Church Council. Bob had many interests including gardening, grilling, sausage making and tinkering in his shop. He loved to visit.

He is survived by his loving wife Kay, daughter Lisa Skoog of Fargo, ND, son Ryan (Jennifer) Skoog of Christine, ND, sisters Kathi Kielb of Fargo, ND and Sandra Breiner of Mandan, ND, brother Wayne (Janice) Skoog of Austin, TX, sister-in-law Erlys Skoog, brother-in-law James (Jane) Rudlang, grandchildren Adam, Ethan, Grant and Lily Skoog, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Esther Skoog, daughter Renee Skoog, sisters Elaine (Dale) Wittman, Ruth (Norrie) Olson, Elvina (Dennis) Edenstrom, Elsie (Claire) Edenstrom, brother Kenneth Skoog.

Bob’s family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Sanford Medical Center.
