Richard C. Post, 74, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo, ND after a brief unexpected illness.
Richard Clarence Post was born on June 28, 1943 in Hood River, OR to Dr. Richard L. and Leah (Justice) Post. He grew up in Fargo, ND, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1961. He attended NDSU and later received an Associate Degree in Interior Design.
On August 1, 1963 he married Carolyn Tweiten at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND.
Dick was an interior designer who had his own Design Studio. He was also currently employed at Zimmerman’s Furniture in Fargo. He had a passion for gardening, landscaping, and antiques. He had an impressive collection of train memorabilia. Dick loved the outdoors, especially Glacier National Park.
Family activities were important to him. He loved supporting his grandchildren's sporting and musical endeavors. Dick was an ardent Minnesota Vikings and NDSU Bison supporter, and recently enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles!
Dick is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Todd Post; daughter, Tanya (Greg) Charon; brother, Dr. Gregory J. (Jill) Post; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica) Charon, Mariah Charon, Arianna Charon; great-granddaughter, Kinley Charon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Dick was a passionate animal rescue supporter. Memorials may be sent to Adopt a Pet, Inc. at P.O. Box 865, Moorhead, MN 56561.
