Richard Donald Heiser passed away peacefully at Bethany Homes Fargo, ND with his wife Shirley, daughter Rhonda Tolbert and son-in-law, Jon Tolbert by his side.
Richard was born in Manning, ND to Michael and Emma (Roller) Heiser. He attended school and graduated high school at St. Catherine High School, Valley City, ND.
To the union of Richard’s first marriage a daughter, Rhonda was born. Richard married Shirley Crane Sept. 11, 1971 at St Mary’s Church in Swartz Creek, MI.
Richard lived in North Dakota, New Mexico, Minnesota, Michigan, and Ohio and worked for 30 years at a GMC factory in MI and OH, retiring in 1999. Richard enjoyed golf and was a member of a bowling league for over 50 years.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Michael Heiser, Vernon, MI; brothers, Lawrence (Cecil) Heiser Breckenridge, MN, James (Diana) Heiser Corunna, MI, and Kenneth (Judy) Heiser Lewisburg, TN and an infant brother George Heiser.
Richard is survived by his wife Shirley Heiser of Fargo, ND; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda (Jon) Tolbert, Breckenridge, MN; grandson, Zachary Tolbert, great-grandson, Zander Tolbert, and great-granddaughter, Zoie Tolbert, all of Wahpeton, ND; granddaughter, Amy Lee and husband Dion Vantyler, great-grandson Blaze Lee, great-grandson Breeze Vantyler and great-granddaughter Brooklin Vantyler; brother, Edward Heiser, Fargo, ND; sister, Carolyn (Bruce) Clark, Soddy Daisy, TN, and brother, Joseph Heiser, Durand, MI along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because of the situation no service will be held at this time. Memorials can be given to Heart Springs Support Group for Parkinson’s, Fargo, ND.
