Richard Grieson

October 31, 1920 — April 23, 2015

Richard Harold Grieson died April 23, 2015 at Bethany on University at the age of 94.

Richard was born October 31, 1920 to William and Bertha (Tingesdahl) Grieson in Perley, MN. He grew up in West Fargo, ND and graduated from high school at the agricultural college in Fargo. Richard worked at the Armour Meat Packing Plant prior to his service in the US Army during WWII.

Richard married Ethel Arves on Sept. 21, 1947. They resided in West Fargo where Richard worked for Dalco Lumberyard, Westgo Manufacturing and as a mail carrier for the West Fargo Post Office. They had two daughters, Sharol and Pamela. Sharol passed away in July 1969. Richard and Ethel moved to Fargo in 1988. Richard was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo. He was an avid Twins fan and enjoyed taking care of his home and family; he cherished his time with his beloved wife Ethel.

Richard is survived by his wife, Ethel; his daughter, Pamela (Ken) DuBose, Eden Prairie, MN; two grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob DuBose, Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharol; brother, Harvey; and sisters, Jean Gandesbery, and Betty Grieson.
