Richard "Dick" Hendrickson

Richard “Dick” Hendrickson, 74, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Richard Stuart Hendrickson was born on September 3, 1943 in Fargo, ND to Sig and Luella (Amundson) Hendrickson. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1961 and in March of 1964 he enlisted in the US Army. He was stationed in Germany for most of his tour of duty. After his Army service in 1967, he transferred into the Army National Guard in which he served until his discharge as a Staff Sergeant in the mid 80’s.

He held various jobs but for the most part spent his working life in farming and remodeling. He spent most of his retirement woodworking, eating breakfast at McDonald’s, and sharing his dry sense of humor with his family and friends.

Richard is survived by five children, Kari (Mark) Herrmann, Fargo, ND; Kelli (Dave) Jacobson, Fargo, ND; Koni (Steve) Hamann, Badger, MN; Kurt (Stacy) Hendrickson, Las Vegas, NV; Kasey (Nicki) Hendrickson, West Fargo, ND; two sisters, Carole (John) Stewart; Linda (Phil) Schmaltz; brother, Dan Hendrickson; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and three half-sisters, Virginia, Betty, and Pat.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack and Bill Hendrickson.
