Richard Lloyd Curtis was born on August 3rd, 1965, in Omaha, NE to Robert Leroy Curtis and Doris Joan (Morris) Curtis. Richard passed away on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo ND.
A 1984 graduate of South Omaha High School, Richard married Ruth Ann Lykke of Wayne, NE in 1987. Together they had two children, Jacob Leonard(1989) and Jared Levi(1995). In 1997, Richard moved his family from Omaha NE to Fargo, ND, where he pursued a career in banking, 15 years of which were spent in fraud prevention at U.S. Bank.
A child at heart, Richard took pleasure from the simple things in life. Always warm and welcoming, Richard was a fun-loving man with a passion to joke around, and he wasn't one for leaving anyone out of his antics. He took pride in where he had been and what he had seen, and as such was
partial to traveling, in which he enjoyed including his family.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother and father. His life is left to be cherished by his wife, Ruth Ann of Fargo, ND; Sons Jacob (Justine), Dilworth, MN; Jared (friend Rain Larson), Fargo, ND; Siblings Karen Grant, Gary, SD, Cheryl Vorthmann (Phil), Gary, SD, Robert, Omaha, NE, Mickie, Walnut Grove, MN, Father-in-law Maury Lykke, Fargo ND and extended family
and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held in Ringsted, IA in May.
