Warren went on his last journey home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 28, 2014 with his wife Marie by his side.
Warren was born November 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to Lars Johan and Dagny (Nordby) Heggem. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and Boston, Mass. Warren graduated from Boston English High School in Boston. He graduated from Gordon College in Boston and Luther Theological Seminary. He married Marie Trolsen September 4, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY.
Warren served Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN, Trinity Lutheran Church in San Francisco, CA; Oak Knoll Lutheran Church in Minnetonka, MN, and Martin Luther Church in Youngstown, OH. After he retired, he served as an interim Pastor to over 20 churches in Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota. In 2014 he received a certificate for the 65th Anniversary of his Ordination. He and Marie have made their home in Fargo since 1978.
Warren served in the Civil Air Patrol Auxiliary of the U.S.A.F. He flew a plane on his 80th birthday.
Warren is survived by his wife, Marie, Fargo, ND; children: Kristin (Terry) Kenny, Groton, SD; Daniel (Diane) Heggem, Henderson, NV; sisters: Dagny Fecht, Framingham, MA, and Ruth (Malcolm) Higgins, Candia, NH; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Jespersen, Kris Heggem, Korre Heggem; and 1 great-grandson, Hunter Jespersen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
