Reinhold Middlestead

Reinhold Henry Middlestead was born April 4, 1919 in rural Kulm, North Dakota to Jacob and Pauline (Schnerk) Middlestead. He attended a country school and grew up working on the family farm. He married Edna Kassman on March 28, 1943 in Kulm, North Dakota. They lived and farmed near Fullerton, North Dakota and later moved near LaMoure for eleven years. They moved to Fargo in 1955 and Reinhold worked at NDSU for 27 years; he retired in 1984. He is survived in death by his wife Edna; sons, Robert (Carol) Middlestead, Argusville, ND; Fredrick Middlestead, St. Paul, MN; a sister Irene Eberhart, Fargo, ND; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Reinhold is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Reinhold died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Rosewood on Broadway Nursing Home in Fargo at the age of 89 years.
