Raymond H. Meyer

‘Ray’ was born in Fargo, ND, the fifth son of August and Sena (Rosmusson) Meyer. He graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High school, excelling in basketball, track, and tumbling. After 4 years in the Navy, stationed in Hawaii, he returned to Martin’s Clothing Store for 23 years. He later worked for Smith, Follett & Crowl and finally for South K-Mart, where he worked for 24-1/2 years.

A good bowler, he liked to win at everything! He enjoyed visiting friends and playing cards with Fairmont relatives. Ray was a good cook and baker, and extensive gardener at Pelican Lake, MN, where he also did building and remodeling. Always the hard worker, he could fix everything! Most of all, he was the best friend and uncle.

He is survived by his older brothers, Lawrence Meyer of San Diego, CA, and Elwood (Arlene) Meyer of Fargo, ND. He leaves behind 9 nieces and 8 nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arnold Meyer (Janice) and Clifford (Joyce) Meyer.
