Ralph Lawrence Pelzman, 72, of Fargo, ND, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Fargo Innovis Health. Ralph was born November 10, 1936, to Frank and Ida (Barz) Pelzman in Oriska, North Dakota. He grew up in Oriska and graduated in 1954, from Oriska High School. He served in the Army for three years and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1962. On May 1, 1966, Ralph married Marie Eggermont in Valley City, North Dakota. They made their home in Fargo, where they raised their three children He worked for Gamble Robinson for six years. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for six months. In 1969, he went back to work at Gamble Robinson/Food Services of America, retiring January 1999. Ralph loved working on cars, tinkering with machines and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a member of the American Legion. Ralph is survived by his wife, Marie, Fargo, ND; his children, Nancy (John) Teeuwen, Fargo, ND; Debra (Chad) Olson, Huron, SD; Jerome “Christ” (Trisha) Pelzman, Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren, Karina and Vyron Morkassel II; John Michael Teeuwen; Kayleigh Roberts; Christian and Amanda Olson; Hunter and Jackson Pelzman; three sisters, Dorothy Frank, Fargo, ND; Rose (Clifford) Gronlund, Sebeka, MN; Mabel (Horst) Witt, Wadena, MN: and one brother, Rudolph (Margaret) Pelzman, Ada, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Brandi; sister, Helen Jacobson; and brothers, John, Frank and Robert.
