Ralph Grindberg was peacefully called home on March 25, 2018 at the age of 78. He will be remembered for his quick-witted humor, love of the outdoors, strong work ethic, and love and loyalty for his family.
Ralph was born in Frazee, MN on May 21,1939 to Eddie and Edna Grindberg. His family included two sisters and three brothers, and they eventually moved to Mapleton, ND where he graduated from high school.
He married the love of his life, Belvadere Arneson on March 6, 1959. Together they raised two children and recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Ralph was employed by the City of Fargo for 32 years as a firefighter. His retirement was spent traveling with Belva to visit family, working on his land, and playing cards with his friends.
Ralph is survived by his son, Michael (Shelly) Grindberg, Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Michele (Joel) Meyer, Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren, Brooke Grindberg and Ella Meyer; brothers, Connie and Wayne Grindberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice Hielle, Janice Grindberg and brother, Arnold Grindberg.
His family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN for the wonderful care he received over the past few weeks.
