Priscilla Isensee, 92, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at Edgewood Vista, Fargo. Priscilla Alice Janisch was born November 6, 1918, in Lake City, South Dakota, daughter of Michael and Louise (Tscherne) Janisch. Priscilla grew up and graduated from Lake City High School in 1936. In 1942, she married Milton “Bud” Isensee in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lake City. They lived on a farm near Havana, North Dakota, before moving to Cayuga, North Dakota, in 1947, where they owned and operated “Bud’s Grocery.” Following Milton’s death in 1971, Priscilla continued the business until 1977. Priscilla and her younger son, Ronald, moved to Fargo. Priscilla enjoyed working in housekeeping at St. Luke’s Hospital, until her retirement in 1986. Ronald moved to Tucson, Arizona, where Priscilla often visited him. After retirement, Priscilla enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, traveling with her family and friends, watching televised game shows and spending time with her four grandchildren. Priscilla is survived by her three children, son, Don Isensee, Perham, MN; two daughters, Janice Isensee-Butz, Bloomington, MN; and Judy Isensee-Gette, Fargo, ND; four grandchildren, Shelly (Brian) Brouwer; Dana Isensee; Troy (Shelly) Gette; Tiffany (Brian) Gette-Whisler; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson and Mason Gette; her sister, Verna Kiefer; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton; son, Ronald; and five brothers. Priscilla is known for her always pleasant and patient personality and her loving, caring heart. With saddened hearts, we watched her leave us. With peaceful hearts, we know she is with God. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo, ND. Funeral Mass: Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cayuga, ND, with a Rosary at 10:00 AM. Burial: Cayuga Cemetery, Cayuga, ND.
