Peter Alan Carr

Peter Carr, 57, of Fosston, MN, passed away at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead, MN on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

Peter Carr was born September 25, 1961 to Eugene and Adele (Stewart) Carr in Hillsboro, North Dakota. Peter graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1979 and from the University of North Dakota in 1983 with a degree in advertising. At UND, he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and played 2nd base for the UND baseball team.

After graduation, Peter was advertising manager for the Emmons County Record in Linton, ND and Tear Sheet Manager for the American Newspaper Representatives. Peter worked for the family newspaper in Fosston, Minnesota before his health declined due to a brain tumor. Never did he complain about his health or ask “why me?” After his mother’s death, Peter and Gene moved to Cornerstone Assisted Living. Two weeks ago Peter suffered a stroke and moved to Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Peter is survived by his brother, David (Barb), Lengby, MN; sisters, Nancy (Kip) Kaler, Fargo, ND; Susan (Duane) Borgeson, Sartell, MN; six nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Margaret Stolee, Plymouth, MN; uncles, Tom (Bobbie) Carr, Monterey, CA; Walt Enzminger, Grants Pass, OR; and four cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. His burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, next to his parents
