Paul Lewis Sprattler of Fargo, North Dakota passed away on Christmas Eve, 2019 at the age of 85.
Paul was born on March 4, 1934 in Aberdeen, South Dakota at the Good Samaritan Hospital to Arthur and Helen (Schlick) Sprattler. While Paul was very young, the family moved to Fargo, North Dakota.
In 1951 at the age of 17, Paul joined the U.S. Air Force and started a twenty-year journey that would move him and his young family to Mississippi, New Mexico, Minneapolis, Texas, and Japan. He married Adeline Hanson on August 26, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1971 Paul retired from the military and moved his family back to Fargo, North Dakota. He would work in the Federal GSA for the next 25 years until retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Janice Paschke, and his youngest son William.
He is survived by Adeline, his wife of 65 years; sons Paul (Audrey) of Mahtomedi, MN; Gordon (Patricia) of Fargo, ND; and James (Karen) of Saint Paul, MN; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and his brother George in Colorado.
He will be laid to rest at a future date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
