Patrick James Rourke

Pat Rourke, 75, of Fargo, ND, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Patrick James Rourke was born May 21, 1939 to Charles and Adelaide (Williams) Rourke in Sheldon, ND. He attended school in Millner and Fargo, ND.

Pat was united in marriage to Darlyne J. Anderson on August 23, 1957, and they made their home in Fargo. He worked many jobs, including as a baker at Red Owl, carpenter/finisher for Asp and Twin City Construction, and later in life as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching and listening to the MN Twins and other sports. One of his favorite things was the time he spent “sitting at the lake”.

Pat is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlyne; daughters, Chris (Randy) Andel, Fargo, ND; Patty (Greg) Reiter, West Fargo, ND; son, Bernie Rourke, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Stacey Andel, Ryan Andel, and Ashley (Greg) Humlicek; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Joanne Erbstoesser; Jack (Marie) Rourke; Charlie Rourke, Elaine (Gary) Wendt; one uncle; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donald Rourke.
