It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia (Senn) Sheldon announces her passing on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 86, in Gilbert, AZ.
Patricia was born in Pelican Rapids, MN on November 15, 1934, the third child of Clifford and Elfrieda Senn’s seven. She attended Mayville State University where she met her husband of 61 years, Jerry Sheldon, Sr. They were married on December 26, 1954.
Patricia and Jerry lived in Fargo, ND and raised four children; Scott, Debra, Katherine and Jerry, Jr. (Jed). Throughout her life Patricia enjoyed teaching elementary school, gardening, sewing, knitting and volunteering for the YWCA, Faith United Methodist Church and PEO. But most of all, she enjoyed loving and spending time with her nine grandchildren.
Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her children; Scott (Michelle Ekegren), Debra (Tom) Hoesley, Katherine (Steve) Nelson, and Jerry, Jr. (Jed); her grandchildren, Kyla (Dan) Conway, Brock Sheldon, Mitchel (Sydney) Nelson, Cole (Sam Narasimhan) Nelson, Carl Hoesley, Tommy Hoesley, Chris Sheldon, Lily Sheldon and Nolan Sheldon; her great-grandchildren Sofia and Olivia Nelson, Anika Nelson and Sloane Conway. Patricia also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Isabelle (Willis) Mavis, Loretta (Ron) Welch, brother Paul (Kates) Senn and brother-in-law Alwin (Joann) Spencer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Sheldon, Sr., her parents, her brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Ila Senn, her sisters, Rosetta (Elroy) Hexum, Joann (Alwin) Spencer and brother-in-law Willis (Isabelle) Mavis.
Funeral arrangements by Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo. Patricia’s Celebration of Life will be on January 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM CST. There will be a live feed sent out to attend. The service will be performed in Fargo. Masks will be required, as well as social distancing protocols.
