Patricia Dorothy Schaar, 67, died May 14, 2014, at Eventide in Moorhead, MN.
She was born on September 8, 1946, to Frederick R. and Jean Schaar and raised on her parents' farm north of Scranton, ND. She taught preschool and was nursery school director at Caroline Mission in the inner city of St. Louis. She also taught basic skills in North Dakota for eight years. She was a picture-framer for 12 years and greatly enjoyed working with the art. She played piano for worship services at Eventide for 20 years.
She died with 38 years of uninterrupted sobriety. She wanted to be remembered as someone “who made the world a better place because she was in it".
She leaves behind her brother, Frederick E. Schaar, and sister-in-law Charlotte; her nieces and nephews Dana (Jim) Jahner, Trevor (Launi) Schaar, and Larissa (Trent) Stein; great-nieces and nephews Aliyah, Isabella, and Mya Schaar, and Landen, Avah, and Lawsen Stein; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
