Patricia Rae Forest, age 70, passed away on May 5, 2012 in Peoria, AZ. Pat was born to Lloyd and Nellie Hart of Wales, ND on June 14, 1941. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard J. Forest, on August 3, 1963. For the next 48 years, they shared a life as true companions— a winning team. Pat and Rich made Fargo, ND their home for 35 years where they raised two daughters, Kelly and Tricia. Pat had a knack for numbers and used this talent in both work and play. She enjoyed many activities including golf, skiing, cheering on her favorite teams, cooking, and mah-jongg; however, bridge was a passion. Her original bridge group began playing together in 1968 and still continues. Upon retiring, Rich and Pat spent winters in their Arizona home among many longtime friends. Summers were spent at their cabin on Pelican Lake, MN. Friends were a driving force in Pat’s life, but nothing could replace the passion and love she had for her four grandchildren. She loved nothing more than baking their favorites, reading to them, and sharing her love of games. Pat radiated grace and hospitality and lived her life with joy. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Rich; her daughter, Kelly; son-in-law, David and their children, Benjamin and Sydney (Dantas); her daughter, Tricia; son-in-law, Kyle and their children, Asher and Tate (Johnson); and many, many others. Memorials in Patricia’s name can be made to Bethany Homes Foundation or North Dakota State University Foundation. Funeral Services: Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo.
