Opaline Egeberg

Opaline E. Egeberg, 95, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Rochester, MN. Opaline Enid Gust was born March 26, 1911, in Woods, North Dakota, daughter of Robert and Ernestine (Abraham) Gust. She attended country school in Woods and went on to graduate from Fargo Central High School. She married Joel Egeberg on December 27, 1930, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Opaline volunteered for many of her children’s activities, including Sunday school, Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. Joel died August 1995. Opaline is survived by her children, Bonnie (Paul) Gunderson, Rochester, MN; David (Jen) Egeberg, Yuma, AZ; six grandchildren, Douglas, Stacy, Derek, Gretchen, Ryan and Kristen; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Evan, Ethan, Emerson, Mia and Kylie; and one sister, Eleanor Healy, Sterling, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel Egeberg; five brothers, Adolph, Herman, Ben, David and Robert Gust; five sisters, Anna Graham, Lillian Leuer, Rose Gust, Martha Johnson and Violet Heidenreich. Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 1:00PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
