Norris Scott

Norris M. Scott was born July 24, 1928. He was raised in Fargo by Joe and Bea (Budsburg) Scott who preceded him in death. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1946. He passed away peacefully at his lake home on September 23, 2010. His only brother Doug Scott lives in Fargo. Norris was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Gertrude L. (Tennefos) Scott, who passed away on January 20, 2009 in Aurora, Colorado. They had lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for the past 20 years. Gertrude was also a graduate of Fargo Central High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Jens, Sr. and mother Ivah (Gilbraith) Tennefos and brothers, Peter and Jens, Jr. Her only sister, Janet, now lives in Kansas City, Kansas and sister-in-law, Jeanne Tennefos lives in Fargo. Norris and Gertrude’s daughter Karen (Anderson) Steinhousen of Cheyenne, Wyoming, preceded them in death in 1991. Surviving children are Susan Dennis of Omaha, Nebraska and Dr. Kevin Scott of Aurora, Colorado. They have 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. They will greatly missed by everyone. Please join us to celebrate their lives and mourn their passing. A memorial service for both Norris and Gertrude will be at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND, on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to your favorite charity are preferred.
