Norman E. Edwardson, 75, Fargo, ND, was called home on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center with his entire family by his side.
Norman was born August 13, 1939 in Carrington, North Dakota to Ed and Elvida (Halvorson) Edwardson. He graduated from Carrington High School in 1957. On August 14, 1961 he began his career with the City of Fargo Street Department where he worked nearly 40 years.
On October 27, 1961, Norm was united in marriage to Jensine Overmoe. They were blessed with four children; Kathy, Mike, Jim and Jodi.
Norm’s first love was his family and friends, he also dearly enjoyed the outdoors of North Dakota; whether it was hunting, fishing, spending time with friends at Devils Lake or driving the back roads, he was proud to call this state his home.
Norm had three grandsons and five granddaughters each of whom had a special place in his heart.
Norm is survived by his wife, Jensine, Fargo, ND; children: Kathy (David) Harildstad, Carrington, ND; James Edwardson (Sheila Finneman), Fargo, ND; and Jodi (Paul) Kosienski, Fargo, ND; daughter-in-law, Glenda Edwardson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Jordan and Josephine Harildstad, Christopher, Timothy and Amanda Edwardson, Xylina Edwardson and Paula and Paige Kosienski; one sister, Elma Smith; one brother-in-law, Lester Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Norman; his parents Ed and Elvida Edwardson; three brothers, Jim, Sonny and Snook; two sisters, Mary Ellen and Verna Mae; and brother-in-law, Don Overmoe.
