Nette Setter Lundeen passed away quietly, Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born February 28, 1916, the youngest of 13 children, and was raised on a farm in Wisconsin. She met her husband, Erland T. (Al) in Minneapolis and they married July 11, 1942. During World War II while Al was overseas she worked in Minneapolis and then moved back to the farm until the war ended. They moved to Fargo in the early 1950's and began a business in jewelry manufacturing. They founded The Crown Jewels and Nette played an important role helping in its operation as well as keeping the books.
Nette only spoke kind words and unconditional love came easily to her. She was a wonderful mother to three children: Susan (John) Stephens of Fargo, ND, Thomas (Susan) Lundeen of Waco, TX, and Mark (Helen) Lundeen of Fargo, ND. She had 7 grandchildren: Jeff (Jennifer) Stephens, Greg (Jessica) Stephens, Sarah (Adam) Garner, Rachel Lundeen, Chris Lundeen, Gregory (Katie) Lundeen, and Kristin Lundeen; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is now together forever with Al who preceded her in death on November 18, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church of Fargo on April 19, 2014 at 2 o'clock, with refreshments at the church, followed by a family burial service at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial gifts can be given to Faith United Methodist Church, or NDSU Foundation-Lundeen Scholarship.
