Nellie Elizabeth Wickstrom passed away Friday, May 04, 2012, at the age of 86 at Elim Care Center, Fargo. Nellie Dickerson was born February 7, 1926 in Floral City, Florida to Bradock and Madeline (Waitman) Dickerson. She attended grade school in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from high school in Fall City, Washington. Her Dad was a jack-of-all trades and the family followed him wherever he found work. Clark retired and moved the family to Colfax, North Dakota where he bought a piece of land to farm. It was in Colfax that Nellie was a teacher in a one-room school house. After teaching for a couple years, she moved to Fargo and was hired as a secretary for the F. C. Hayer Company. She also was a founding member of the Red River Chapter of the National Secretaries Association. She married Donald Wickstrom in 1952 and quit working to stay home with the arrival of daughter Laureen in 1958 and daughter Marcia in 1960. Don and Nell lived in Fargo until Don’s retirement and then spent their winters in Florida and summers at Fish Lake in Minnesota. Nellie is survived by her daughter Marcia (Jamie)Goodyear, brother Gerald (Darlene)Dickerson, son-in-law Ken (Teri) Miosek of Frazee, grandchildren Jacob Miosek, Joshua Miosek, Jordan Miosek, Kylene Miosek, Michael Miosek, Henry Miosek, Sonja Asleson, Elijah Miosek, Jesse Miosek, and Casey Goodyear. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, sister Grace and daughter Laurie Miosek. Memorial Service: Thursday, May 10, 2012, 10:00 AM at Elim Care Center Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at Elim Care Center. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery on Franklin Lake, MN.
