Nancy Tallman, 68, of West Fargo, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Nancy Faye Michelson was born April 6, 1950 in Bismarck, ND to Orville “Mike” and Barbara (Schmidtke) Michelson. She grew up in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1968.
Nancy’s father, Mike, passed away when she was two years old. Roy Neff entered her and her mother’s lives when Nancy was 12 years old, and she always loved him as her dad.
Nancy attended college at Bismarck Junior College where she met Deane Feland. They were married and had two children, Kai and Karla. Nancy and Deane parted ways in 1991 and remained friends.
Nancy met Tim Tallman and they were married in 1994 in Fargo, ND. Nancy and Tim traveled the world together and loved the many adventures they were able to take.
Nancy went back to college later in life and received a Bachelor’s Degree from North Dakota State University. She went on to work as the Activities Director at multiple nursing homes in the area before retiring. Nancy enjoyed time she spent having coffee with girlfriends and neighbors. She was full of life, seeing the good in everyone she met and loving them for who they were. She had a contagious smile that would light up a room. Family was very important to Nancy and she spent many hours surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Tim Tallman; children, Kai (Amy) Feland, Moorhead, MN; Karla (Brandon) Smith, St. Louis Park, MN; step-children, Kaley and Molly Tallman, Ogden, UT; grandchildren, Mariesa Ulrich, Alisia Feland, and Sheldon Feland; great-grandchildren, Kiara and Aunna Ulrich, and Wyatt Urbashich; sister, Linda Figgs; and two sisters-in-law, Susan (Clark) Brooks and Mary Tallman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; and her mother and father-in-law, Robert and Betty Tallman.
Memorials are preferred to Recovery Worship of Fargo-Moorhead.
