Nancy K. Lilleberg, 72, Fargo, ND, died on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Edgewood Vista in Fargo after a long battle with cancer.
Nancy Wright was born on July 1, 1952 in Fargo, ND to Nelson and Kathryn (Wolter) Wright. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1970. She received her Bachelors of Education Degree and Masters of Computer Science Degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. It was there in a music class where she met her future husband, Wayne. They were married in 1975 and were blessed with two children, Travis and Stephanie.
Nancy worked as an IT Specialist and Teacher at North Dakota State University in Fargo for over 30 years. She later received a Masters in Education from NDSU. She was well-loved by her colleagues for her empathy and her kindness. Nancy thoroughly enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, playing board games, and traveling. She played organ and piano at First United Methodist Church for decades, and was a founding member of Joy For The Journey, a contemporary worship band at the church. Throughout the years, music was an integral part of her life, and one that she loved sharing with others.
Nancy is survived by her children, Travis (Nicole Nawalaniec) Lilleberg, Denver, CO; Stephanie Lilleberg, Winchester, NH; siblings, Carol (Steve) Curry, Mary (Terry) Limpert, and Bruce Wright; sister-in-law, Nancy Ann Lilleberg; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; and parents, Nelson and Kathryn.
The family would like to thank Bethany on University, Edgewood Fargo, Sanford Medical Center, and First United Methodist Church for their loving care and support. The family also thanks Nancy's friends for being there for her through the end.
