Myrtle Runck

Myrtle I. Runck, 92, of Fargo, ND died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Myrtle was born April 19, 1917 to Henry and Katie (Fey) Anderson in Finley, ND. She grew up on the family farm near Finley, ND. She attended schools in Steel County. Myrtle married Joseph “Bud” Runck in Durbin, ND. They farmed south of Cassleton, ND. Myrtle and Bud moved to West Fargo. She worked for restaurants and the Eagles Club, Armours Meat Packing Plant, and in sales at Singer Sewing Machines. Myrtle also did volunteer work at the Fargo VA. Myrtle was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Eagles. Myrtle is survived by two brothers, Seth (Marge) Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD and Clinton Anderson, Fargo, ND; a brother-in-law, Dean Sprint, Seattle, WA; a sister-in-law, June Anderson, St. Louis Park, MN, and several nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her parents, a son, Edward A. Runck; two brothers, Alfred and George Anderson, a sister, Ruth Sprint; and a sister-in-law, Delores Anderson Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 1:00pm at Bethany Homes Chapel, Fargo. Visitation: One hour prior to service.
