Beryle Page, 96, died August 19, 2016 surrounded by family. She lived for most of the last six years at Edgewood Vista, Fargo ND.
Muriel Beryle Ripley was born August 17, 1920 in River Philip, Nova Scotia, Canada to Willard and Annie May (Colter) Ripley.
Beryle served during World War II in Europe as an officer in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. After the war, she moved most of the way across Canada to work as a nurse in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Responding to a job ad in the back of a magazine, she moved in 1951 to New York, where she met her husband of over 50 years, raised her three sons, and continued her thirty-year nursing career.
Beryle played a significant role in the lives of her grandchildren, moving with her family to Virginia in the late 1980s and then to Fargo ND in 1992.
Beryle was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Lloyd, Gwen, Ralston, Grace, and Edith; and her husband Alfred. She is survived by three sons, Joe (Michele) of Whitefish, MT, Mike (Adele) of Fargo, ND, and James of West Fargo, ND; sister Marilyn Guy (Nova Scotia, CAN); brother Clair Ripley (New Brunswick, CAN); grandchildren Guy Mason (Denver, CO), Mateo Urquijo (Edinburgh, SCT), Richard Page (Whitefish, MT), Donald Page (Camden, ME), Carissa Page (Portland, OR), Michael Page (Oxford, UK), Lauren Page (Portland, OR); and great grandchildren Everett & Alaric Olson.
