Muriel Craig, 86, formerly of Fargo, North Dakota, died at Big Sky Care Center in Helena, Montana, on Friday, December 26, 2008. Muriel Larson was born August 9, 1922, to Nora (Nelson) and Carl O. Larson of Bisbee, North Dakota. She married William L. Craig on May 5, 1945, in Denver, Colorado. Father, mother and husband preceded her in death as did her brother, Sigmund (Peggy) Larson of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Orton (Annalee) Larson of Waterloo, Iowa; and sister, Mary Larson of Bisbee, North Dakota. Muriel was a Fargo resident for over 60 years, before spending the last year and a half in Helena, Montana. Muriel graduated from Bisbee High School with honors in June 1939, and completed Dakota Business College in Fargo. Upon graduation, she worked at North Dakota State University and Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She is survived by two children, daughter, Cheryl Brandt, Helena, Montana; son, Mark (Karla) Craig, Peoria, Illinois; grandchildren, Christopher Brandt, Spokane, Washington; Kelly Craig, Nashville, Tennessee; Amanda (Nathan) Hall, Toronto, Canada; step-grandchildren, Trevor Knudson, Grand Forks, North Dakota; and Justina Knudson, Peoria, Illinois. Funeral Service: Friday, January 2, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
