Michael Kiser

Michael Kiser, 65, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Michael Jacob Kiser, son of Jacob and Agnes (Breitenbach) Kiser, was born February 18, 1946, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1964. Michael graduated from Kundert Aviation with an Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic license in 1971. Michael married Susan Wilde on June 26, 1971. They were married for over 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 – 1970; North Dakota Air National Guard for 30 years; and at Midamerica Aviation from 2003 to the present. Mike loved to hunt, fix lawn mowers and snow blowers, and garden. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan, Fargo, ND; children, Matthew (Greta) Kiser; Megan Kiser; and Mallory (Dan) Hestdalen; grandchildren, Luke and Max Kiser; and Aubrey Hestdalen; his mother, Agnes Kiser; siblings, George Kiser; Lawrence Kiser; Gregory Kiser; and Beverly (John) Needles.. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob; twin brother, Mark; and brother, Robert. Funeral Service: Monday, August 1, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at Hope Lutheran Church ~ North Campus, Fargo. Visitation: Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Burial: Holy Cross ~ North ~ Cemetery, Fargo.
