Meredith A. Wedberg

Meredith A. Wedberg, 96, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Bethany on University.

Meredith Ann Wedberg was born October 6, 1921 in Hunter, ND to Almon and Beatrice Carr Sayer. She attended Hunter High School and the University of North Dakota and was married to William R. Wedberg on July 3, 1940 in Moorhead, MN. They lived and farmed near Hunter until William died in 1997. Meredith enjoyed spending her summers in Detroit Lakes, MN and winters in Mesa, AZ. Meredith was the long time accompanist for the Hunter and Dakota High School music programs and was a fifty year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Grand Matron of the North Dakota Grand Chapter, and the Right Worthy Grand Organist for the General Grand Chapter.

Meredith is survived by a son, William R. Wedberg Jr., Hunter, ND; daughter, Cherry Remboldt, Rancho Mirage, CA; granddaughters, Maggie Remboldt, Greenwich, CT and Tara and Mandi Hagen, Fargo, ND; sister, Mary Jane Howard, Sioux Falls, SD and many nieces and nephews.

Meredith was preceded in death by her husband, William and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Almon Sayer.

Memorials are preferred to Bethany Retirement Homes and ESTARL.
