Meredith Haugen

Meredith Ann Haugen, 30, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at home in Fargo. Meredith was born January 6, 1977, in Chisholm, Minnesota, daughter of Donald and Glenda (Trunnell) Haugen. The family moved to Fargo in 1979, where she attended Lewis and Clark Elementary, Agassiz Jr. High and graduated from Fargo South in 1995. Meredith graduated with honors from the Minnesota State University – Moorhead in 2000, with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Art History. She was currently working on her Master’s Degree in Psychology. Meredith loved children and dogs. She was a nanny for two families, Rudy and Eden Hayer and the Larry Cerf family of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the owner and operator of “My Best Friend’s Closet,” Moorhead, MN. Meredith was active with the Friends of the Opera, the Junior League of Fargo/Moorhead and Rape and Abuse Crisis Center. Meredith is survived by parents, Donald and Glenda Haugen; Fargo, ND; her brother, Eric (Tracy) Haugen; West Des Moines, IA; her niece and nephew, Jessica and Andrew Haugen, West Des Moines, IA; her grandmother, Lucille Haugen, Fargo, ND; many other family members; and her favorite canine companions, Rocky and Odin. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ardell Haugen; grandparents, Elsie and Glenn Trunnell; uncle, Keith Trunnell; and canine companions, Elvis and Lola. Memorials are preferred to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead. Memorial Service: Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 2 PM, at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at 6 PM to 8 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with a Prayer Service at 8 PM.
