Melvin Merle Srozinski, 78, of Fargo, ND died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Melvin was born November 11, 1934 in Jamestown, ND, Stutsman County, the son of Peter and Rose (Taszarek) Srozinski. He was raised in the Montpelier area and received his education in country schools in Montpelier and Ypsilanti, ND. On November 23, 1955 Melvin married Lorraine Struxness in Jamestown. In the early years Melvin worked for International Harvest and R.M. Stoudt in Jamestown.
In 1958 Melvin joined and served in the Army National Guard Co. B, 141st Engineering until 1964. In 1960 they moved to Fargo, ND and he was employed as assistant service manager for Selland Motors. He retired in 1980. Melvin was a member of the Fargo Eagles and First United Methodist Church. His interests included bowling, camping, hunting, and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Melvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine, Fargo; one brother, Gerold (Barb) Srozinski, Jamestown, ND; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Srozinski; Marilyn Srozinski, both of Jamestown; Laurette Zachrison, Valley City, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Harold and Ralph.
