Maxine Holsen

Maxine L. Holsen, 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead. Maxine Luverne (Bergren) Holsen was born July 4, 1921, to Fred and Olga (Olson) Bergren in Fargo, North Dakota. Maxine graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1938. Maxine was also a graduate of Interstate Business College and was employed as a secretary in the Fargo divisional office of Investors Syndicate. Maxine was united in marriage to Oscar Holsen on February 9, 1946. The couple resided in Fargo all of their lives. She worked along side her husband helping with his public accounting business, utilizing her secretarial skills. Maxine is survived by daughters, Susan (Bruce) Grasamke, Elbow Lake, MN; Nancy Johnson, Horace, ND; son, Jeff (Pam) Holsen, Elbow Lake, MN; three grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, Erica (fiancé, Calvin Reiter) Holsen, Billings, MT; Justin Johnson, Fargo, ND; Marisa (fiancé, Mike Christopherson) Holsen, Maple Grove, MN; a sister, Marilyn Anderson, Hudson, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her beloved husband, Oscar. Maxine was a very loving and giving person. Family meant everything to her. She will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace. Funeral Service: Friday, April 8, 2011, at 2:30 PM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND (at a later date).
