Manuel Rodriguez, 75, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at ManorCare, Fargo. Manuel Rodriguez was born March 6th, in Crystal City, Texas, son of Mateo and Consueleo (Lomas) Rodriguez. He grew up in his hometown and worked as a farmer for Bill Gates until 1948. In January 1949, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he became a decorated soldier with many honors. He received a Korean Service Medal with five Bronze stars, a Purple Heart and the Presidential Unit Citation and was discharged as a Sergeant in 1952. On November 1, 1954, he married Roseanne Hanson in Moorhead, Minnesota. Together they raised 13 children. Manuel is survived by 12 children, 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one son, one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Service: Friday, January 18, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
