Mary Eleanor Keszler passed peacefully after battling dementia for over a decade.
Mary was born on June 5, 1939 in California where she spent her early years until landing in Langdon, North Dakota.
Mary graduated from Langdon High School where she met the love of her life, Richard. They married and made their home in Fargo, North Dakota. They raised 4 children and were together over 50 years. When she wasn’t working, she spent time with her kids and loved spending summer weekends at the lake cabin, where she would host friends and family. She was known for never going in the water but still loved it at the lakes.
Mary went back to school after the passing of her youngest daughter and became an RN working at St. Luke’s in Fargo and working pediatrics hospice in Phoenix before “retiring” as a working nurse and becoming a pre-auth nurse with CIGNA, retiring at 62 years old.
After moving to Phoenix, Mary enjoyed time spent with her grandson, Cody, and watching him grow and attending his sports activities. She also enjoyed friends and family coming to visit, as well as traveling with Richard and family. She preferred books to TV and met many friends while in the Phoenix area.
She is missed dearly. She is survived by her brother Daniel (Dirk), daughter Kris (Gilbert, Arizona), and grandson Cody (Air Force); and her son, Brian (Rachel) and grandson Lucas (Phoenix, Arizona). She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera (Cooper) Hart; her father, Leonard Hart; her brother, James Hart; her husband, Richard Keszler; daughter, LeAnn Keszler; and son, Scott Keszler.
