Marshall “Buzz” James Underwood, 72 of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on July 25, 2015. He was surrounded by family and staff at Sanford Palliative Care unit.
Marshall was born to Ellis and Audrey (Johnson) Underwood in Fargo where he was raised and attended school before joining the US Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was married to Annette (Sukut) Underwood. In 1973 he moved to Orange County California and worked at Centralia School District as a maintenance worker for the schools. In 1994 he moved back to Fargo and worked for Foss as a plumber until he retired.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, cleaning and gardening. In the morning you could find him reading the paper and having coffee with his sister. He loved to tell you stories about growing up on the farm and all his fishing adventures.
Survivors: brother, Steven Savageau; two sisters, Donna Kemmer, Kimberly (Steven) Savageau-Rask, uncle, Darrold (Lanie) Johnson; aunt, Marsha (Dale) Larson; three nieces, Lyn (Brian) King, Patricia Sather, Tess (Chris) Derosier; two nephews, James Kemmer, Devon Anderson; four great-nieces, Brianna King, Emily Sather, Allison Sather, and Audrey Kemmer; three great-nephews, Garrett Anderson, Bryce and Ryne King; special cousins, Lynn, Karla, Jason (Elizabeth), David (Amparito) Johnson, and many cousins.
Buzz was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Meredith Anderson
