Marna Tweed

Marna Joan (Lykken ) Tweed was born August 13, 1933, at Kloten, ND. She was the daughter of Andrew and Louise Lykken. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Kloten and attended business college in Grand Forks, ND. Marna was married to Ralph Tweed on April 3, 1954, in Kloten. Ralph and Marna farmed near Cooperstown, before moving to Fargo in 1996. She worked for several years in Fargo for Tammy’s Angels home health care and was active with the senior citizen center in south Fargo. Marna was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; and seven siblings. She is survived by one son, Ardell Tweed, West Fargo, ND; five daughters, Roxann (Tom) Hare, Aurora, CO; Janel Retzlaff, Blackhawk, SD; Barbara (John) Bailey, El Paso, TX; Kristie Tweed, Pasadena, CA; Sherri (Karim) Ahmad, Portland, OR; one sister, Irene Myers, Portland, OR; and one brother, Emil Lykken, Albert Lea, MN; nine grandchildren and seven great- grand children. Funeral Service: Monday, June 8, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Sunday, June 7, 2009, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
