Marlene Kayeska

Marlene K. Kayeska (nee Jongbloed), 55, died February 26, 2008 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Marlene Jongbloed was born in Watertown, SD on January 1, 1953 to William and Darlene (Madsen) Jongbloed. She and the family moved to Wahpeton, ND in 1957. She attended Wahpeton area schools and graduated Wahpeton high school in 1971. She married Drake Kayeska on December 4, 1975 in Sisseston, South Dakota. She enjoyed staying at home to take care of her family. In February of 2007 her grandson, Treyton, was born and he is still the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother; sisters, Mary Krueger and Carla Jean Jongbloed; brother, Normal Lee Roy Jongbloed; grandparents and infant daughter, Heather Kayeska. She is survived by her husband, Drake Kayeska, Fargo, ND; one daughter, Cortney Francene, Fargo, ND; two sons, Shane Bernard, Fargo, ND and Dominic Matthew Kayeska, Fargo, ND; grandson Treyton Mathaniel Kayeska; father, William John Jongbloed, Breckenridge, MN and two sisters, Cheryl Lynn Jongbloed, Frazee, MN and Carol Ann (Bob) Kratcha, Hawley, MN. Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church
