Mark Jerald Trogstad, 45, of Fargo, ND, passed away on March 5, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, surrounded by his entire family. Mark was a special blessing, born in Fargo, ND, on March 3, 1978, to Jerry and Elizabeth (Betty) Trogstad, two weeks after Jerry's passing. After graduating from Fargo North High School in 1996, he pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at North Dakota State University. He began his engineering career at Buth Engineering, later starting Trogstad Engineering. At the time of his passing, he was a Senior Project Manager at KFI Engineers. He designed commercial construction projects nationwide, including many large Scheels stores.

Mark was born and raised in Fargo. He was a lifetime member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and married. He served the church well, especially as part of the balcony tech crew, always ready to help.

Mark loved his family deeply. He was his children's biggest fan at their soccer and football games, track meets, and running along at cross country meets. He was a Fargo North Spartan fan and booster. He loved all things sports - often having 3 TVs on at a time watching Timberwolves, Vikings, Twins, or Wild games and the Food Network. He had a passion for all things food - he was the chef of the family, especially loving to grill and find new recipes for the Blackstone. The lake was a special place to Mark, summers at the Skonnord Cabin and 21060, filled with ranger rides, mowing, boating, jet skiing, grilling, and campfires. He and his brother, Brian, were often fixing and remodeling things at the lake and each other's homes...always looking for the next project. Mark loved his dog, Bailey. He was the biggest goofball - always ready with a funny face for a picture or an inappropriate comment. He loved and was loved fiercely by his entire family. He and his big brother, Brian, were best friends and had a unique bond that made others jealous. He will always be his sister Sue's "L'il Marky Boo".

Mark is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jennifer Trogstad; and children, Samantha and Peyton Trogstad; his mother, Elizabeth Trogstad; sister, Susan (Kevin) Koskela; brother, Brian (Sarah) Trogstad; and niece and nephews, Olivia and Seth Koskela, Luke, Andrew, and Nathan Trogstad. He is also survived by his in-laws, Henry and Joyce Wittkopp; brother-in-law, Micheal Wittkopp; and nephews, Ethan and Chandler Wittkopp. He is also survived by his extended family, Chuck and LeeAnn Townsend, Kris and Mike Townsend, and Jeff Gustafson, as well as his many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerald Trogstad; grandparents, Vern and Mabel Trogstad and Theodore and Cora Skonnord; and his uncle, John Skonnord.
