On the morning of November Fifth 2012, Marion Powers took her ultimate journey. That morning, she stepped out into Eternity. She didn’t go on that journey alone, for The Living GOD was there holding her hand and guiding her home.
Though Marion’s path was often difficult, she stayed the course. She fought a good fight all the way to the end.
Jesus has said to her, “Marion, well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Marion Margaret (Deede) Powers was born November 21, 1929 to Herman and Susanna (Ann) Deede. She attended school in Wahpeton. The family later moved to Fargo where Marion graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1946. She attended Fargo Business College graduating in 1948.
Marion married Harry Wilson in 1950. Later in life she married Earl Powers on April 1, 1978.
Marion worked at General Motors as a Secretary for 36 years. She had a love of crafts, namely, knitting, cross stitching, and glass cutting. She volunteered at Heirlooms, Bethany Homes and Essentia Health. Marion loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her son, Scott (Dorothy) Wilson, Fargo, ND; her daughter Beth Johnson, Battle Ground, WA; her brother Gerald Deede, Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Ann Deede; Two infant daughters; her sister-in-law and best friend, Marvel Deede; her niece Karen Deede; her husband Earl Powers; and her first husband, Harry Wilson.
