Marilyn J. Taylor, 85 of Fargo, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN.
Mrs. Taylor was born December 24, 1930 in Charles City, Iowa, to parents James and Mary Woodworth. She was raised on a farm near Charles City and attended high school in Nashua, IA. Marilyn married James Taylor, also of Nashua, in 1953. Marilyn lived mostly in Iowa for several years and in 1961, she and James moved to North Dakota. She worked for many years as James’ dental office manager, both full and part time.
Marilyn was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved to cook and bake but especially enjoyed spending time with her son and his friends and their many activities on Woodland Drive in north Fargo. She cherished time with family and her many, many friends in both Fargo and the lakes area of MN. Mrs. Taylor moved to Palm Desert, CA, in 1986 and lived there until returning to Fargo in 2003 to watch her grandchildren grow and be a close part of their lives. Gramma Marilyn will endure in so very many special memories for them!
She is survived by her son, Jay (Christina) Taylor, and grandchildren, Madeleine, Julia, and James.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, DeLoss and Wendel Woodworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
