Marilyn (Kisser) Severson

Marilyn Ione Severson, 75, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Triumph Hospital, Fargo, ND. Marilyn Kisser, the daughter of Martin and Inez (Orvedahl) Kisser was born June 2, 1933, in Fargo. She attended Roosevelt School and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1950. Marilyn married E. N. “Swede” Severson December 27, 1959, at First Lutheran Church. Because of Swede’s job, they lived in Montana, Utah, Alaska, Washington D.C. and California, before moving back to Fargo, to care for Marilyn’s parents. Marilyn was a friend to many and shared her talents in crocheting and card making with anyone interested. Marilyn was a good neighbor and loved to play games and cards. She was a great “Auntie” to her many great nephews and nieces. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Lee Ann Berge, Fargo, ND; brothers, Marty (Elaine) Kisser, Durand, IL; John (Denise) Kisser, Fargo, ND; many very special nieces and nephews and countless dear friends and neighbors across the country who will truly miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Swede; her parents; and two infant, sisters. Memorial Service: Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 10:30 AM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
