Marilyn Bergeson

Marilyn Bergeson, 75, born August 21, 1931, in Elliott, North Dakota, to Albert and Laura Milbrandt died Saturday afternoon April 14, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, after a battle with colon cancer for four years. Marilyn worked at Sears on Broadway and Sears when it opened at the mall in 1972. She also worked at Fashion Colony and Lowes. She met so many wonderful customers that she got to know through her years as a store clerk. Marilyn decided to go back to school and get her GED. She was so proud of herself receiving her diploma. I was so proud of my mom also. Then she went to work for MeritCare in CPD for 18 years, until she retired. After retiring, mom liked working with her crafts she loved to hand stitch projects she liked watching tv that had crafts and painting. She enjoyed playing cards and liked to play checkers. Marilyn is the mother to Janel Cruz; grandmother to Shane and John Cruz and great-grandmother to Destiny Rose. She will be missed deeply. Marilyn is survived by a brother, Harvey Milbrandt, Lisbon, ND and a sister, Caroline Peterson, Modesto, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Laura; four brothers, Orville, Ervin, Duane and R’dell; and three sisters, Marie, Evelyn, and LaVerne. Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Burial: Springvale Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
