Marie Brandvig

Marie Brandvig, 78, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at her home in Fargo. Marie Eileen Fagerlie was born October 1, 1931, in rural Audubon, Minnesota, daughter of Oscar and Margarethe (Valtinson) Fagerlie. She grew up and attended schools in rural Ulen and in Moorhead, Minnesota. Marie married Arne Brandvig March 6, 1954, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. She worked at St. John’s Hospital for 14 years and also for various catering services. The family moved to Richfield, Minnesota, in 1973, before moving back to Fargo in 1977. She enjoyed knitting and watching her grandsons, being at the lake and traveling. Marie is survived by her husband, Arne, Fargo, ND; her daughter, Angela (Rick) Nielsen, Northfield, MN; son, Kevin Brandvig, Fargo, ND; her loving sister, Bernice Brogren, Ulen, MN; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan, Northfield, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman, Carlton, Julian and Norris; and sisters, Evelyn, Margret and Elzada. Funeral Service: Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 10:30 AM, at St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, September 10, 2010, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Burial: Lower Maple River Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
