Marguerite (Mitzi) Lindberg, 89, of Fargo, ND died March 19, 2014 at Bethany on 42nd Retirement Living, Fargo.
Mitzi was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 15, 1925. She attended Bessemer High School, Bessemer, Michigan. She married Robert Lindberg on August 6, 1942 in Ironwood, Michigan.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She was married to Robert for 62 wonderful years. She took pride in caring for and raising her three daughters, Victoria, Jean and Roberta. She worked as a Foster Grandparent in the Bemidji, MN and East Grand Forks, MN Public Schools. She had a special place in her heart for all the children she worked with at school. She and her husband lived in the Philippine Islands, Elliot Lake, ON (Canada), Esterhazy, SK (Canada), Toronto, ON (Canada), Chicago, Ill, and Philadelphia, PA, throughout his career as a mining engineer. She and her husband, Robert, resided for a time in Bayshore Village, Orillia, ON, and in Marco Island, FL, after his retirement. She loved traveling the world, seeing new places and meeting new friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Each one held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Douglas) Mills, Burlington, ON (Canada); Jean (Dick) Brownson, Grand Forks, ND; and Roberta (Jon) Rice, Naples, FL. Grandchildren include, Stephanie Mills (Erik Buhler), Burlington, ON; Scott (Tracy) Mills, Winona, ON; Jeff (Ronica) Brownson, State College, PA; Todd (Samantha) Brownson, Billings, MT; Kristen (Ryon) Boen, Minot, ND; and Jennifer (Jaison) Freed, Fargo, ND. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her infant daughter, Carol and her brother, Albert.
Memorial services for Mitzi will be held on June 7, 2014 in the chapel at Bethany on 42nd Retirement Home, 4255 30th Ave South, Fargo, ND at 10:00 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Bethany at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley, the Salvation Army, Bethany Retirement Homes or a charity of your choice.
