Margie Joan Bayman

February 29, 1940 — January 15, 2019

Margie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2019 in Buffalo, ND. Margie was born on February 29, 1940 to Reuben and Cora Grande in Northwood, ND. Margie grew up and graduated from High School in Hatton, ND and then furthered her education by attending College at St Luke’s Hospital in Fargo enrolled in the nursing program. On December 12, 1959, Margie married Harlan Bayman and resided in Hope, ND. In 1965, Harlan and Marge moved to Enderlin, ND and in 1969 moved to Harvey, ND where they raised three children.

Margie worked as a nurse’s aide and also was the school cook in the Harvey Public School district. Margie was an excellent cook and baker and she loved to cook for her family and friends. She was well known for her delicious lefsa and sold many to stores and friends in Harvey, ND.

After retiring in 2000, Harlan and Margie spent time cooking at Lakewood Bible Camp in Devils Lake, ND. In October of 2017, they moved from Harvey to Buffalo, ND to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Margie is known for her strong faith, servanthood and teachings within the faith communities she resided in. She consistently served in her church and was a wonderful spiritual teacher to many people she encountered throughout her life. Her influence telling others about Jesus has impacted many lives.

Margie is survived by her husband, Harlan, Buffalo ND’ daughter, Dawn (Donovan) Amundson, Tower City, ND; son, William (LeAnn) Bayman, Bismarck, ND; daughter, Caryn (Jim) Neary, Fargo, ND; sisters, Barbra Howery, Scranton, SC, Sherrie Potter, Camden, SC, Lorie Grande, Fargo, ND; her brother, Michael (Barbara) Grande, Fargo, ND and sister-in-law, LaVonne Umsted, Salem, OR; her grandchildren, Janna (Jarrod Wolf) Kohler, Buffalo, ND; great- grandchildren, Quinlan, Braydon, Lane, Taylar; granddaughter, Brittany Feickert, West Fargo; great-grandchild, Aubree; grandson, Zachary Feickert, Denver, CO; granddaughter, Jaimie (Joel) Wickard, Blaine, MN; great-grandchildren, Miles & Issac; granddaughter, Shelby (Justin) Meche, Fargo, ND; grandson, Christian (Lindsay) Opp, Fargo, ND; great-grandchild, Raiden; granddaughter, Kjersten (Ross) Huebner, Grand Forks, ND; greatgrandchildren, Ruby, Benny, Brooks, Mack; granddaughter, Katie Amundson, Fargo, ND; great-grandchildren, Chase, Ella, and Cam, along with many nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Cora Grande.
