Margery B. Hosman

Margery B. Hosman, 95, of Fargo, entered into Eternal Life on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Margery Reitmeier was born December 13, 1918 in Crookston, MN. She was the daughter of August and Nettie (Bennen) Reitmeier. She grew up on the family farm and attended rural school in Crookston. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and playing her guitar.

Margery met Vern Hosman in Seattle, WA and they were united in marriage on April 17, 1947. They lived in Fargo most of their married life where they raised their seven children. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide, retiring in June of 1993 after 23 years at Dakota Hospital in Fargo. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, and seek-and-find books but her pride and joy was taking care of her family.

Margery is survived by her children, Kathleen (George) Mallinger of Lidgerwood, ND, Linda (Clyde) Huber of Courtenay, ND, Yvonne Olson, Shirley (Grant) Holmen, Ginger (Rodger) Soland, and Marilyn (Jerome) Sannes, all of Fargo, ND, and Ron (Marilee) Hosman of Devils Lake, ND; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews, and two cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Vern; sisters, Dorothy Ristvedt and Marie Reitmeier; her special cousin, Freda Capistran; and her beloved black pomeranian, Peek-A-Boo.
