Margaret Thorstenson, 86, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Innovis Hospital. Margaret Leona Schulz was born March 11, 1923, in Perham, Minnesota, daughter of William and Bertha (Marshall) Schulz. Margaret married Edward J. Thorstenson November 30, 1942, at Ottertail, Minnesota. Margaret returned to high school after her children were grown. She worked as a school bus driver for area school districts for 35 years. She retired in 1988. Margaret was an active member at Grace Lutheran Church and school. She was active in Cub Scouts and Camp Fire with her children. Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Anita (Doug) Dowell, Coarsegold, CA; Audrey (James) Nitschke; and Alice (Darrold) Engel, both of Fargo, ND; two sons, Lyle (Pamela) Thorstenson, Nacogdoches, TX; Les (Sarah) Thorstenson, Wadena, MN; two brothers, James (Eona) Schulz, Lacey, WA; Kenneth (Jackie) Schulz, Kent, WA; 13 grandchildren; and nine and a half great-grandchildren. Margaret was loving, caring and touched many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Hilda Curtis and Ethel Heino; and brother, Harold Schulz. Memorial Service: Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 2:00 PM, at Grace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 6-7 PM, at the church. Prayer Service: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 7 PM, at the church. Burial: at a later date.
