Margaret Hirschkorn

Margaret C. Hirschkorn, 84, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, September 21, 2009, in Elim Rehab and Care Center in Fargo, ND. Margaret Corrine Hirschkorn was born August 1, 1925, in Nome, North Dakota, to Martin and Clara (Pederson) Mjoen. She attended school in Fingal, North Dakota, and graduated high school there. She married Walter H. Hirschkorn on December 30, 1946, in Harvey, North Dakota. Margaret and Walter made their home in Harvey, ND, Minot, ND, and Comstock, MN. She had lived in University Manor in Fargo, ND, for the past 20 years which was a very special place for her. Margaret worked various jobs including at the Harvey Bank, right out of high school, at St. Ansgars Hospital and Pioneer Mutual Insurance. Margaret always remembered special events in her family's life. She battled cancer for six years and died peacefully. She is survived by her children, Curtis (Brenda) Hirschkorn; Linda (Gary) Lisburg; Karen (Kenneth) Hendrickson; Gregory Hirschkorn; Marc Hirschkorn; Debra Martin. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter H. Hirschkorn; a son, Gary Hirschkorn; and a daughter, baby Hirschkorn. Funeral Service: Friday, September 25, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Burial: Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.
