Margaret Gabrielson, 94, died May 19, 2017, at Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo.
Margaret Smith was born April 10, 1923, near Caledonia, ND. She moved with her family to Hillsboro, ND. She married George Gabrielson March 28, 1942, and she traveled with him as he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. They made their home in Fargo after the war. As a full-time homemaker, Margaret volunteered at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Moorhead Thrift Store, The Village, ARC Thrift Store, Dakota Hospital gift shop, and the Arthritis Foundation gift shop. She also did home day-care and was active in the Moose Lodge, Fargo VFW Auxiliary and RSVP.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Gail) and Steven (Sandra), Fargo; and three grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Gabrielson, Cordova, AK, Robin (Nate) Hoger, Bismarck, and Scott Gabrielson, Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Gabrielson in 2004, and her husband, George, in 2005.
